Near 5 Cecil Pashley Way, Shoreham by Sea, BN43 5FF

West Sussex -

Description

A section of this coarse gravel footpath around 50 yards long, just at the lower end of the ramped section with handrail, has been regularly flooded with 3+ inches of water for most of the time since October 2019.
I realise this is a duplicate report but I wanted to add weight to the case. Many people use this path to get to/from the airport and embankment path, and without wellington boots, the path is impassable (without very wet feet). The ground around it is extremely wet and muddy (but is the only alternative) and as well as getting covered in mud splashes, presents a slipping/falling risk because the part near the handrail section is steeply banked.

Given this path was only finished a year ago, I am disappointed the path does not drain away at all -- only a sunny day helps (before it rains again). I would hope drainage could be arranged. image 1
